HISTORY & ARCHITECTURE - The Cathedral of All Souls
WEBBuilt by George Vanderbilt as the parish church for the village adjacent to the Biltmore House, it was seen by Vanderbilt as the connecting piece for the daily life of all persons, all souls, in the region. The church is situated in the hub of a fan-shaped group of streets that is Biltmore Village.

Directions & Parking — The Cathedral of All Souls
WEBStreet parking is available every day on Swan Street, Angle Street, All Souls Crescent, Boston Way, Kitchen Place, Biltmore Plaza, and Sweeten Creek Rd (Alt 25). Additionally, on Sundays, the parking lots of Wells Fargo, State Employees Credit Union, and Bank of America in Biltmore Village are available to visitors.
Weddings - The Cathedral of All Souls
WEBDesigned by the renowned architect Richard Morris Hunt, All Souls features Romanesque revival architecture and a Greek Cross short nave, as well as beautiful stained glass windows and Frederick Law Olmsted inspired grounds. The cathedral can hold 250 guests, including the wedding party.

Clergy & Staff — The Cathedral of All Souls
WEBGlenda McDowell serves as the deacon of All Souls Cathedral. She was the first African-American female ordained as a deacon in the Diocese of Western North Carolina. Glenda studied sociology at Shaw University in Raleigh and graduated from Blanton College in fashion merchandising.
Our Vestry — The Cathedral of All Souls
WEBOur Vestry is responsible for enhancing both the spiritual and organizational life of the parish. The Vestry manages all church property and assets, approves the budget, and authorizes major expenditures.
