So, following their instructions - rather than using your edu email (which would certainly seem logical), create a gmail account and try then creating a new Autodesk Student account.

WEBDec 5, 2017 · first at all make sure the latest updates are installed, for AutoCAD 2019 that means Update 2019.1.2 should be installed. next you might try to start AutoCAD without hardware acceleration (to prevent it's hanging because of incompatible graphic card or driver) as shown >>>here<<<. try to disable antivirus software.
