As another reviewer mentioned, the cost is related to the level of lodge you request (luxury, etc) and the activities you book. I will say that we booked luxury lodges with NTS and the overall cost with NTS was as economical as if we had booked everything ourselves — except we didn’t have the hassle of having to research, reserve a rental, arrange transfers, etc. It was such a pleasure having everything taken care of and knowing someone was just a phone call away if we needed anything.

It is INCORRECT to ask me to direct people to Namibia Tours and Safaris---it was not the group who booked our trip. We traveled on an airborne Skeleton Coast Safari --booked with a different tour group, the Schoeman family, and it is called Schoeman Flying Safaris. I am sure there are other Namibia Safari tours, but I wrote about only the one we experienced and enjoyed so much in December of 2018.

Hi MeraLee, Thank you for clarifying. We are glad that you had a wonderful time in Namibia. Hopefully you will be back again soon to experience more of what Namibia has to offer.
Q:
How did you manage with the meals, were they provided or could you buy food quite easily locally while on safari ?
A:
Food in the lodges were spectacular and they will provide packed lunches if you have a long trip ahead .
Q:

My husband & I just came back from a 2 week fly-in and loved every area we visited. Damaraland is spectacular scenery. We stayed at the Mowani lodge there, which is awesome. This is where you can see the desert elephants. As the previous answer: Sossusvlei & Dead Valley are a must see! We also did a kayak tour in Walvis Bay with Jeanne Meintjes, great lady and a really fun tour (no experience required). Just google her. The Sandwich Harbour tour thru the Naukluft Park is also good, but make sure you book it with a respectable company. We got bumped onto a tour with PhotoVentures and were not impressed at all with the guides. I don't have the name of the company we should have been with as this was organized by our tour operator, but they refunded us for the mix-up.

Hi, I am a 56 yr. old female who travels alone. I don't have the best knees so I cannot do aA LOT of hiking. I would like to spend 5-8 weeks in Africa if it's not too expensive. I want scenery and wildlife, elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffe, rhinos, you name it, I want to see it! Is Namibia my best bet to see this? When I was in New Zealand, I saw brochures for bus tours that went all around southern Africa. Are these kind of things still available? They had tours of 60 days or 90 days. They visited several countries and cities in southern Africa. I would be coming in the middle of June and can stay until around the 10th or 15th of August or anything in between. I'm not sure if you are the correct place to ask these questions or not if not could you please tell me where I could get this information. Thank you so much for your help. Erin

Hi Erin We live in South Africa with my family so Naming was only on a holiday The scenery and landscape in Namibia is wonderful, pristine and really unique however if your main objective is to see the wildlife I suggest you visit South Africa instead Do you drive??? You need to drive if you want to go to the game reserves and national parks otherwise it can be pricey staying in lodges all the time You can contact this agency and maybe they organise a trip all around Namibia South Africa and Botswana where I am sure you will see it all! Especially in the winter it's easier to spot the wildlife Hope this help Penelope
