Over a week since an inundated Guadalupe River sent floodwaters tearing through homes and youth camps in Texas, optimism for rescuing any of the dozens of people still missing from Hill Country on July 12 has steadily faded as the death toll continued to rise.

Twenty-seven young girls and staff members were killed at Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian summer camp situated on the bank of the Guadalupe River. Maps reveal the devastation seen in Kerr County, where authorities revealed 36 children were among the 103 victims in the flood-ravaged county.
