Bahama Breeze abruptly closed more than one-third of its restaurants this week, further compounding to the problems the casual dining segment is experiencing.

The closure of Caribbean-themed chain restaurant appears to be part of an abrupt shuttering of more than a dozen locations nationwide.

Bahama Breeze shocked employees and customers when it closed 15 restaurants across the U.S. this week. Five were in Florida.
