After an extensive three-week search, authorities have suspended the use of divers and cadaver dogs in the search for missing metro Atlanta coach and teacher Gary Jones on Lake Oconee.

The dive team search for missing teacher Gary Jones in Lake Oconee has been called off until further notice, according to Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills.

The divers are highly trained and experienced with diving in murky, obstacle-studded water. The Emergency Dive Response Team, a nonprofit based at Lake Lanier, has brought in volunteer divers to search areas thick with submerged timber.
