Malik Beasley's lawyers told ESPN's Shams Charania last week that the veteran guard is no longer the target of a federal gambling investigation, opening the door for him to potentially latch on with a team in free agency.

Malik Beasley is “no longer a target of the federal gambling investigation,” his attorneys, Steve Haney and Mike Schachter, told the Detroit News. The pair reportedly had “extensive conversations” with investigators and “received determination” that Beasley was no longer a target in the federal probe.
