The Dallas Mavericks pulled off the improbable on Monday night, jumping from No. 11 to No. 1 in the NBA Draft Lottery. It was simply an incredible rise for the Mavericks, who had a 1.8% chance to land the top pick prior to the festivities.

Monday was an eventful day in the NBA. Not only did Shams Charania of ESPN report that Giannis Antetokounmpo is open to leaving the Milwaukee Bucks for the first time in his career, but the Dallas Mavericks also won the 2025 draft lottery.

The Mavericks refused to lock up Quentin Grimes long-term before trading him to the 76ers at the trade deadline.
