House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul says he was briefly detained after becoming “disoriented” from mixing Ambien and alcohol before a flight earlier this month,

"I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the officers who intercepted me that evening," the 10-term congressman from Austin said in a statement.
