SOUTH PORTLAND (WGME) – A man was seriously injured, and another is in custody, as police investigate a shooting in South Portland. Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 616 Westbrook Street in the Redbank neighborhood around 4 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.

Police in South Portland have arrested and charged a man accused of shooting and seriously injuring his stepbrother Tuesday night. Responding officers found the 30-year-old victim near 616 Westbrook St.

At approximately 4 p.m. today, South Portland Police Officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at 616 Westbrook Street. On arrival, they discovered a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.

SOUTH PORTLAND (WGME) - A Silver Alert has been issued for William Monterio, an 88-year-old South Portland man. Monterio left his home on Vivian Street in South Portland at 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning but never arrived at his destination.
