Free-agent infielder Yoán Moncada has agreed to a one-year contract worth $5 million with the Los Angeles Angels, reports the New York Post. The team has not yet confirmed the signing. Moncada, 29, hit free agency by virtue of the White Sox declining his $25 million team option for 2025.

Third baseman Yoán Moncada, who spent the last eight seasons with the Chicago White Sox, joined the Angels in a move that could limit Anthony Rendon's role.

Moncada, 29, played only 12 games with the White Sox last season, missing most of the year with a left adductor strain. He can play third base and second.
