Fresh powder is likely to collide with several Colorado ski areas’ opening days this weekend. Most resorts along the Interstate 70 corridor could see around half-a-foot of snow by Saturday, according to forecasts from OpenSnow.

Thanks to recent snowfall and cold temperatures, the Boulder-area destination is throwing its hat into the ring.

Wolf Creek Ski Area was the first ski slope to open in Colorado this season on Oct. 22. Keystone and Arapahoe Basin opened on Nov. 2.
