Nick Baker has claimed on the latest Xbox Era podcast that a remaster of Dark Souls III is currently in development.

Rumor has it that Dark Souls 3 remaster is in development, but unclear if publisher Bandai Namco has tasked FromSoftware or a third-party support studio for the project… if it exists, that is. The original game released 8.

PlayStation maker Sony is currently in talks to acquire FromSoftware, the developer behind Elden Ring, Dark Souls and Bloodbourne, as part of a buyout of its owner, the Japanese publishing giant Kadokawa.

Sony is reportedly in talks to buy Kadokawa, whose subsidiary FromSoftware is behind smash hit Elden Ring, the Dark Souls and Armored Core games, and PlayStation exclusive Bloodborne. Reuters reports that Sony is looking to add to its entertainment portfolio.
