The New York Jets agreed to a trade sending cornerback Michael Carter II and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for wide receiver John Metchie and a 2027 sixth-round pick, a league source said Wednesday.

The Eagles acquired cornerback Michael Carter II in a trade with the Jets ahead of next week's NFL trade deadline.

Michael Carter II is one of three Eagles defensive players acquired during the bye week who practiced with the team for the first time Thursday.
