In anticipation of a family-friendly box office smash, Mattel and others have produced a lot of merchandise for the film. The porn-linking toys were singing Glinda and Elphaba dolls. Retailers such as Target and Walmart have already delisted the toy from their online databases, but pictures of them still exist on eBay.

In a statement to TODAY.com, Mattel confirmed the mislabeling. The toy company said it “was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page.”

"Wicked" dolls manufactured by Mattel misprinted the promotional movie website wickedmovie.com. The misprint, which left the word movie out of the URL, directed consumers to an adult-rated website. According to The Washington Post,

Mattel has apologized after the boxes for its new "Wicked" movie dolls included a link to a pornographic website.

Retailers have pulled Mattel's "Wicked" dolls. Resellers quickly listed the toys featuring the URL misprint on eBay, seeking hundreds of dollars.
