An all-electric Lamborghini Urus is expected by the end of this decade, or at least it was back in 2023, before EV demand weakened and Lamborghini started saying that an all-electric supercar wasn't close.

It'll use a shared platform, but still have what VW AG's CEO described as "very specific set-up for Lamborghini."

Blume also said the platform will support power outputs of up to 2,000 hp, likely based on the metric horsepower rating VW Group uses. That would equate to 1,973 hp based on the standard used in the U.S.

Lamborghini's hybrid supercar, the Revuelto , makes 1,001 horsepower. Its next electrified car, and the brand's first fully electric one, could make almost double that number, according to Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume.
