The Pittsburgh Steelers have spent the past few months trying to trade for a wide receiver and they finally made that happen on Tuesday. With just hours to go before the NFL trade

The New York Jets were one of the teams active at the 2024 NFL trade deadline. The Jets (3-6) ended their experiment with wide receiver Mike Williams, trading him to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most point to two reasons as to why the Jets agreed to ship out Williams.

The Lions have leaned on a variety of players to make up for the absence of Hutchinson, including Levi Onwuzurike, James Houston and Josh Paschal, but none of them has been an every-down player like Hutchinson was. Adding Smith gives Detroit another player to add to that rotation.
