Apple will begin using AI technology to power the discovery of apps on the App Store, the company announced at this week's Worldwide Developers Conference

While WWDC doesn’t usually pack the same punch as the company’s fall iPhone launch event, it’s historically been an important milestone for Apple AAPL +1.64% — showcasing the company’s software innovation and sometimes its more low-profile hardware products.
Apple announced on Monday a slew of artificial intelligence features including opening up Apple Intelligence's underlying technology in a modest update of its software and services as it lays the groundwork for future advances.
With the new Foundation Models framework, third-party apps will be able to leverage the same on-device possibilities that Apple will enjoy.
