A Dartmouth man is held without bail for allegedly stabbing a woman to death. His mental competency is being evaluated.

Tyler Dow Baglini, 31, is due to be arraigned Monday in New Bedford District Court for the murder of 31-year-old Kerri Fidalgo, prosecutors said.

The victim, Kerri Fidalgo, was rushed to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to the District Attorney.

Investigators later learned that Baglini had arrived at the hospital with a large kitchen knife, stained with what appeared to be blood.
