(Reuters) -Chinese e-commerce group JD.com missed market estimates for quarterly revenue on Thursday, as a persistent slowdown in the world's second-largest economy pressured consumers to keep a tight hold on their purse strings.

In August, China's market regulator issued a statement saying Alibaba had completed three years "rectification" following a record $2.75 billion fine levied in 2021 for monopolistic behaviour, drawing a line under the company's regulatory troubles.

The results come at a tricky time for Chinese commerce businesses, given the broad sluggishness in the world's second-largest economy.
