New York Jets general manager Darren Mougey was incredibly busy on Wednesday. Mougey acquired defensive tackle Jowon Briggs from the Cleveland Browns in a trade. The Jets then also traded for Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Harrison Phillips.

The Minnesota Vikings traded defensive tackle Harrison Phillips to the New York Jets, the teams announced Friday. The move allows Minnesota to save cap space for 2025, while providing the Jets with another stout run-stopping defender.

Per numerous sources, led by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Vikings have traded defensive lineman Harrison Phillips to the New York Jets. In return, the Vikings will receive a 2026 sixth-round pick and a “swap of picks in 2027,” though I’m not 100% sure what that means at this point.
