Pac-12 makes it official, adds Texas school ahead of 2026 relaunch
It’s official, the new Pac-12 has reached Texas. Conference officials confirmed Monday that Texas State University will join the revamped league beginning with the 2026-27 season. Texas State, formerly of the Sun Belt, has been playing FBS football since 2012.
