The threat of severe weather in Philadelphia has led the Phillies to postpone their game tonight vs. the San Diego Padres.

Philadelphia residents have been warned to brace for a largescale workers' strike designed to shut down key infrastructure, such as garbage removal, starting Tuesday.

Striking city workers are joining picket lines outside Philadelphia City Hall, public libraries and other worksites as nearly 10,000 unionized employees walked off the job in search of better pay and benefits.

More than 9,000 city employees are on strike after contract talks fell apart between AFSCME District Council 33 and Mayor Parker’s administration, the first major city worker strike since 1986.

All three new teams have NBA ownership groups, and each paid a $250 million expansion fee — about five times as much as Golden State did a few years ago.
