The bishop will be handing leadership of the church over to his daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her husband, Toure Roberts.

Bishop T.D. Jakes says he will pass the baton of the Potter's House Church in Texas to his daughter and her husband after a health scare late in 2024.

Jakes’ announcement comes nearly six months after a major health incident that he later described as a “massive heart attack.”
