Taiwan won the world title, but it will appear as Chinese Taipei in the LL record books
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A team from Taiwan is the world champion of Little League Baseball. But the Little League record books will show Chinese Taipei defeated Las Vegas, Nevada, 7-0. Throughout a post-game news conference, the word Taiwan could be heard in answers by the manager and players to questions relayed to the interpreter Philip Chang.

Taiwan on Sunday won their first Little League Baseball World Series (LLBWS) title in 29 years, as Taipei’s Dong Yuan Elementary School defeated a team from Las Vegas 7-0 in the championship game in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
