According to a report from The Athletic, Wrexham are closing in on the signing of Man City defender Callum Doyle, in a deal worth up to £8m. Sheffield United and Rangers were also keen on the defender, but it looks as though he's going to be heading to north Wales.
Wrexham is still searching for its first points in the Championship after a 3-2 loss to West Brom. Celebrity co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were on hand at the Racecourse ground for Wrexham’s first home game in the second tier in 43 years.
