India's defeat in the Melbourne Test exposed glaring flaws, from senior players' failures to tactical errors, while Yashasvi Jaiswal's dropped catches, though costly, were far from the sole reason for their precarious position in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed on 84 via a controversial DRS call on the final day of the MCG Test. Jaiswal was given caught out, despite the snicko meter showing no spike at all.

While on commentary for Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar slammed the umpire for not depending on technology like the snick-o-meter for making the decision of dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal. He even said that the ball changing its trajectory is nothing but an optical illusion.
