Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has suffered a setback in his recovery from an Achilles tendon rupture, further clouding his future with the team.
Berry said it’s “too early to tell” if Watson can play in 2025 after Watson told doctors during the quarterback’s end-of-the-season physical that “something didn’t feel right” in his repaired ankle. Berry said the team is still gathering details on the injury.
The Browns learned about Watson’s new medical situation during player exit meetings on Sunday, and said it’s too early to know what it means going forward.
