The Nashville Predators will look to extend their winning streak to four games when they host the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday in the first of a home-and-home between the two clubs.

Filip Forsberg tallied twice, and the Nashville Predators scored a season-high six goals to defeat the Minnesota Wild by a 6-2 final on Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena. The result gives the Preds their third straight victory and a three-game win streak for the first time since October.

Nashville (15-22-7, 37 points) beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Thursday, clinching the win with a 3-for-3 shootout performance from Gustav Nyquist, Ryan O'Reilly, and Steven Stamkos. It was the Predators' first appearance in a shootout this season.

Nashville owns a 14-game point streak (13-0-1) against San Jose that dates back to March 16, 2019, in which the team has allowed more than two goals against only once. The last time the Predators were defeated at home by the Sharks was on Oct. 21, 2018, by a score of 5-4 and the last time they lost on the road was Nov. 9, 2019, in a 2-1 shootout.

The Predators' comeback win over the Sharks was the largest comeback in franchise history. Nashville has overcome a three-goal deficit 13 times in franchise history — most recently on March 26, 2024 against the Vegas Golden Knights — but they had never overcome a four-goal deficit until Tuesday.

At one point on Tuesday night, the Predators trailed by four goals. Until they didn’t.
