Delta Air Lines had to call off one of its flights out of SEA Airport on Thursday after crew members accidentally deployed an emergency slide.

According to Delta, Delta Flight 419 traveling from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, was canceled after crew members mistakenly deployed the Boeing 767’s emergency slide and the flight crew timed out before the aircraft could be repaired.

Delta Air Lines is expanding its portfolio of airport lounges in 2025. The airport will open, expand or renovate a total of eight clubs.

Seattle-Tacoma has grown extensively over the past eighty years to get to where it is today, from having no commercial airlines to over 30 providing regularly scheduled service. The airfield that exists today was originally developed in the years following World War II when it was designed to replace Boeing Field.

Delta Air Lines plans to open five new or expanded Sky Clubs in 2025, the carrier announced Tuesday.

Delta Air Lines is building a second Sky Club Lounge on Concourse B of its SLC hub. The existing Club, opened in 2020, is located on Concourse A. Slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, it will be one of the largest Clubs in Delta's network, featuring 34,000 square feet of space.
