Houston Rockets forward Dillon Brooks and Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young were assessed a double technical foul in the fourth quarter of the Rockets' 100-96 win Tuesday in Atlanta. It came during a critical stretch as Atlanta had gone on a 15-2 run to cut Houston's lead to three points with under a minute remaining.

Despite the Hawks' six-game losing streak, Trae Young and Dyson Daniels are staying optimistic about the team's outlook.

Daniels (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Minnesota, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. The swingman will sit out after he was a late addition to the injury report with left ankle soreness.

Hawks guard Trae Young is trying to save his money. But that didn’t stop him from dropping a few critiques of the officials from Tuesday’s matchup against the Rockets when asked about it postgame. Young and Rockets forward Dillon Brooks earned a pair of double technicals after an altercation.

With just about 50 seconds left in the game, Brooks knocked Young down on the perimeter. As the action paused due to teammate Dyson Daniels converting an and-1 layup, Young seized the moment to retaliate. He nonchalantly drove his shoulder into Brooks as he walked by.

Throughout Trae Young's career, the Atlanta Hawks have struggled to provide him with a running mate that fits well alongside him, until this season.
