Teammates choose the captains, and the Chiefs announced that quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, defensive lineman Chris Jones, linebacker Nick Bolton, kicker Harrison Butker and long snapper James Winchester will be captains for the playoffs.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones sacks Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud for a 12-yard loss on third down to end the drive.

The Chiefs recorded eight sacks and hit Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud six other times. George Karlaftis had three of the sacks.
