As we stand on the precipice of NFL Free Agency, with the tampering period officially opening, it is alarming how much has already changed in 2025. Since I first released my way-too-early projections back in February we've seen Deebo Samuel traded to the Washington Commanders,

The Los Angeles Chargers whiffed on Davante Adams, now a member of the Los Angeles Rams, then followed it up with a whiff on a DK Metcalf trade, too as he heads for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But maybe whiffed isn’t the right term.

But coach Sean McVay is allergic to rebuilds or waiting for the action to come to him. He goes out and finds it. Aside from trade candidates DK Metcalf and Deebo Samuel, Adams is where the action is at wideout this spring. Although older than Chris Godwin, he’s more durable. Although less explosive than Metcalf, he remains more efficient.
