This 37th awards ceremony will be the last to take place in December with the dates shifting to mid-January, starting with the 39th edition in 2026.

The Irish Box Office hit KNEECAP directed by Rich Peppiatt has been nominated for two prestigious European Film Awards - the EUROPEAN DISCOVERY – Prix FIPRESCI and the European University Film Award (EUFA).

Films like "The Substance," "Flow," "No Other Land," "Vermiglio," and "The Girl with the Needle" also had strong showings with nods in multiple categories.

The nominees for this year's European Film Awards have been unveiled, with "Emilia Pérez," "The Substance" and "The Room Next Door" all up for best European film. Movies also in the running for the ceremony's top award - which was expanded this year to include documentaries and animated features - are Lina Soualem's "Bye Bye Tiberias";
