KARACHI: The International Cricket Council is in a catch-22 situation with “limited options” left on the table after the Pakistan Cricket Board sought details about India's refusal

CHENNAI: Days after the Board of Control for Cricket in India decided India would not travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) mailed a detailed questionnaire to the International Cricket Council (ICC) seeking reasons behind the BCCI's move.

Pakistan might “withdraw” from Champions Trophy, and also not play against India in ICC events, until relations between the two countries improve.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has sought clarification from the sport's governing International Cricket Council (ICC) following India's refusal to travel across the border for next year's Champions Trophy,

The ICC has launched a new logo for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan is the confirmed host. India's participation is uncertain due to security concerns. The PCB seeks clarification from the BCCI.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s decision that the Indian cricket team wouldn’t be travelling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 hasn’t gone down well with the hosts Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) As per reports,

If the ICC decides to move Champions Trophy 2025 out of India or postpone the tournament then the PCB will lose $65 million or nearly Rs 550 crore.

The 2025 Champions Trophy is at the center of controversy. Set to be hosted by Pakistan in February-March, the tournament's future in the country is uncertain after BCCI declined to send the Indian team to Pakistan.
