Lashonda Lafleur, the mother of a 17-year-old girl who was shot earlier this month, is urging for something to be done about the gun violence in Opelousas, saying her daughter is now brain dead.
The shooting took place at Jim Bowie Plaza off of Larry Street, where witnesses said a man was shot in the face.
