NFL regular season has been a grind for the New York Jets and their starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After suffering a season-ending Achilles injury four plays into his tenure with the Jets, he has not missed a game this year.

One of the brightest lights to this miserable Jets season has been dimmed for the final two games. Rookie left tackle Olu Fashanu, according to Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, is being placed on injured reserve with plantar fasciitis in his left foot and that will end his promising season.

It has been a lost season for the New York Jets and it just got a little worse. Starting left tackle and Jets first round pick Olu Fashanu is headed to IR for the rest of the season with a foot injury head coach Jeff Ulbrich announced on Tuesday.

Going into the 2024 NFL season, most football experts believed that the New York Jets would finally have a winning season, but things didn’t go as planned for Aaron Rodgers and his teammates.

Accordingly, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers told reporters Wednesday that he planned to play Sunday despite an MCL injury. "I'm going to play and it feels pretty good," Rodgers said. Prodded as to the nature of the injury—which he suffered during New York's 19–9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams Sunday—the quarterback brushed it off.
