Amazon continues to update its Kindle Scribe line, this time with a side panel that makes note taking even easier, for all books

Amazon's rolling out some new features to some Kindle Scribe users, and they could change the tablet in a big way.

The Kindle Paperwhite (2024) is as good as an e-reader can get with its responsive interface, quick-turning pages, and lightweight design. While the Signature Edition features an ad-free lock screen and double the storage of the standard Paperwhite, the added features aren't worth its expensive price tag.

Last year, Amazon introduced a one-of-a-kind in-book writing experience for Kindle Scribe that allows you to start writing on the page of a book or reflowable document, and Active Canvas will automatically make space for your notes.
