House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said he made a “poor decision” to mix alcohol and Ambien.

Republican Rep. Michael McCaul was briefly detained at Dulles International Airport earlier this month after appearing intoxicated, according to reports.

"I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the officers who intercepted me that evening," the 10-term congressman from Austin said in a statement.
