Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she will not seek the Georgia governorship in 2026, though she left the door open to the possibility of a future run for the role.

The MAGA-aligned lawmaker criticized her state's "good ‘ole boys club" while alluding to a bid to lead the Peach State in the future.

Greene reportedly considered a run against Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) in the 2026 midterms, but amid negative polling results and Trump’s own reported doubts over her chances, Greene in May shared a similar long post in which she claimed beating Ossoff “would be easy” but she wouldn’t be taking him on.
