Police in Santa Rosa on Thursday provided additional information regarding the homicide investigation into a fatal shooting that left four people dead who were found Wednesday during a welfare check by officers.

Police say they found the bodies during a welfare check after a boyfriend of one of the occupants expressed concern.

New details have been revealed in Wednesday’s incident that resulted in Santa Rosa police discovering four dead inside a home. According to the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD), the four people are believed to be family members.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - The Santa Rosa Police Department has confirmed four people have been found dead inside a home on Wednesday. A police sergeant told KTVU they arrived on the scene of the home on the 200 block of Monarch Court this afternoon and found the individuals inside the home but could not confirm the cause of death as of yet.

Officers were sent to the Santa Rosa home for a welfare check on residents who had not been seen for several days, police said. When officers investigated, they discovered four deceased people.
