Carrie Coon could have reprised her Marvel Cinematic Universe role in Avengers: Endgame, but declined to continue after the studio didn't offer her more money.

Coon is currently playing Laurie Duffy on the third season of “The White Lotus.” Coon’s character is on a getaway alongside friends Jaclyn Lemon (Michelle Monaghan) and Kate Bohr (Leslie Bibb). In March, the star revealed the storyline that was cut from the HBO drama after President Trump’s reelection.

However, Coon does push back against the assertion that sexism played into the financial disagreement, opining, “I’ll say, I’m sure men are told that.” The issue, Coon suggests, is less about attitudes toward specific performers than about an industry that treats people like they should simply be lucky to be in the room.
