Andreas Alvarez did something no freshman pitcher has done in more than a decade and three fellow freshmen produced at the plate to lead No. 25 Auburn to a 6-2 win over North Alabama Wednesday night at Plainsman Park.

Auburn baseball needed a late rally to earn a midweek win over an in-state foe for the second straight day. After trailing North Alabama, 2-1, through one inning, Auburn scored five runs over the final four innings to secure a 6-2 win over the visiting Lions on Wednesday at Plainsman Park in Auburn.

Coming into the No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup against Alabama, it was understood that Auburn basketball was good. But know, the world knows it's tough, too.
