Brookline police issued an alert on Wednesday morning after “several aggressive turkeys” were spotted along Babcock Street around 8:30 a.m., with one of the birds chasing a parking enforcement officer into a building and pecking the glass door. The town’s animal control officer, Brian Bridges, responded to assist the officer.

The police department in Brookline, Massachusetts is putting out a warning for residents that the wild turkeys often seen in town may be aggressive as it's their mating season.According to the state,

Anyone who encounters an unusually aggressive turkey is asked to report it to the Brookline Police Department’s Animal Control unit at 617-730-2222, and to include the location, time, and description of the turkey’s behavior. “This is a temporary seasonal occurrence,” police said. “Turkey aggression typically subsides after mating season ends.”
