Diamond Sports Group and Amazon have reached a deal that should make a lot of people happy in the Columbus Metro area. The deal that was announced will allow Amazon Prime Video to stream local FanDuel Network channels on its platform.

Though the offensive spigot has dried up a bit the past few games, the Blue Jackets got off to a franchise-best start at putting the puck in the net, and the team’s 40 goals through 12 games remains the second-most in team history.

After scoring six goals in each of their first four wins, the Blue Jackets have scored a total of nine in the past five games to go 1-3-1 in that stretch. That's an average of 1.8 per game that's 2.3 goals per game lower than they averaged by scoring 33 goals in their first eight games.

Their encouraging 5-3-1 start is a speck in the rearview now, they’ve dropped to the basement of all NHL standings formats and their next game Friday at Nationwide Arena is against the Pittsburgh Penguins ― who might as well hold ownership in the Blue Jackets based on the all-time series.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were hoping to come home with a win to end their road trip to California and to Seattle. Although they started as well as they could have, they still couldn’t find the result they were looking for.
