A film based on Irish language rap trio Kneecap leads the nominations for the British Independent Film Awards (Bifas), picking up 14 nods. Set in Belfast in 2019, the film is a semi-fictionalised account of the raucous band’s formation amid a call for more protections for their mother tongue.
