New evacuation orders have been issued for the community of Seven Oaks in the San Bernardino Mountains, which is under threat from the more than 40,000-acre Line Fire burning since the beginning of this month.

A flare up in the Line Fire, which has torched tens of thousands of acres of vegetation in the Angeles National Forest, has forced new evacuation orders weeks after the blaze was first ignited.

New evacuation orders were issued for a community in San Bernardino County due to a flare-up from the Line Fire Sunday afternoon.

The Line Fire once again released a massive plume of smoke into the air Sunday in what fire officials described as an expected flareup.

The new evacuation orders are for the Seven Oaks community. Warnings were also issued for the Angelus Oaks community and Boulder Bay.

Residents were ordered to evacuate from Seven Oaks, a mountain community south of Big Bear Lake and north of Highway 38, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon. Emergency personnel were actively working in the area and firefighting aircraft were on order.
