U.S. oil prices climbed about 3 percent as markets opened on Sunday evening, hovering around $75 a barrel, after Israel struck several Iranian oil and gas facilities over the weekend.

U.S. consumer prices rose slightly in May as gasoline prices remained subdued, but inflation is likely to pick up in the months as tariffs boost the cost of imported goods.

Oil prices rose again early in Europe as Iran and Israel continued to launch strikes against each other, elevating the risks of longer-term supply disruption.
