The Houston Astros have had to deal with a litany of injuries to key contributors throughout the 2025 MLB regular season.
Despite Paredes' injury, Brown clarified that the team was already considering bolstering their lineup. "We're still looking for a left-handed bat, so that hasn't changed," Brown explained. "If it's an infielder, great. If it's an outfielder, we'll take that too. It hasn't really changed much, it's just more of a preference for an infielder now."
With the MLB trade deadline less than a week away, the Houston Astros are expected to be buying talent to bolster their injured roster. Houston could bring in a left fielder or second baseman. But after the injury to Isaac Paredes, their plans have taken a turn.
