A Dartmouth man is held without bail for allegedly stabbing a woman to death. His mental competency is being evaluated.

(WJAR) — A Dartmouth man accused of killing a woman in New Bedford will go before a judge on Monday. Cruisers were lined up outside 86 Atlantic Street in New Bedford on Friday. Police said they were called to the home late Friday afternoon, for reports of a stabbing. They found 31-year-old Kerri Fidalgo inside.

A 31-year-old Dartmouth man will be charged with murder in connection to Friday's stabbing homicide on Atlantic Street in New Bedford.

Tyler Dow Baglini, 31, is due to be arraigned Monday in New Bedford District Court for the murder of 31-year-old Kerri Fidalgo, prosecutors said.

The victim, Kerri Fidalgo, was rushed to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to the District Attorney.

The suspect in the deadly stabbing was ordered to have a second competency hearing and was held without bail.
